Wireless DMX
For wireless data transmission you need a DMX-controller, a wireless transmitter and a wireless receiver or
devices with a built-in wireless receiver, respectively. Please use the appropriate devices from the
FUTURELIGHT range.
The wireless receiver has an internal memory function. If the device is switched off and on again, the
receiver automatically logs into the transmitter.
The installation procedure of a wireless DMX system depends on the wireless transmitter. Please
refer to the user manual of the respective device.
DMX-controlled operation
You can control the device individually via your DMX-controller. Every DMX-channel has a different
occupation with different features. The individual channels and their features are listed under DMX-protocol.
Addressing
The device has three different DMX channel modes with 6, 8 or 12 DMX channels. The Control Board allows
you, as described above, to assign the DMX channel mode.
The Control Board allows you to assign the DMX starting address, which is defined as the first channel from
which the AKKU IP UP-4 Plus HCL Spot WDMX will respond to the controller. The starting address depends
upon which DMX controller is being used. Please refer to the controller's documentation. If you set, for
example, the address in the 12-channel mode to channel 13, the device will use the channel 13 to 24 for
control.
Please make sure that you do not have any overlapping channels in order to control each device correctly
and independently from any other fixture on the DMX chain. If several devices are addressed similarly, they
will work synchronically.
For setting the desired starting address please press the MENU button. Press the UP and DOWN button
until the display shows DMX Addr. Press the ENTER button and the display shows: 001. Set the desired
address via the UP or DOWN button. Please press the ENTER button again to confirm.
Now you can start operating the AKKU IP UP-4 Plus HCL Spot WDMX via your lighting controller.
Note:
