Switching on/off

Switching on/off
There are various ways of switching the device
on/off:
Switching on/off with the on/off
button
u To switch on, press the on/off button ③.
u To switch off, hold down the on/off button
③ for longer than two seconds.
Note:
To protect the vehicle battery, the
device will switch off automatically
after a configurable time period if the
vehicle ignition is off (see "Setting the
power-off time").

Setting the power-off time (HOUR)

u Press the MENU button ⑤ to open the
menu.
u Press the MENU button ⑤ repeatedly
until "HOUR" and the current setting
appear in the display ④.
u Turn the volume control ① anticlockwise
or clockwise to set the power-off time to a
setting between 1 and 60 minutes.
To close the menu,
u press the MENU button ⑤
(if necessary, several times).
Switching on/off via the vehicle
ignition
The device will switch on/off simultaneously
with the vehicle ignition if the device is con-
nected to the vehicle ignition and you did not
switch off the device by pressing the on/off
button ③.

Note:
After the ignition is switched on,
"TIMESET" first appears in the display
④ followed 2 seconds later by
"AM/24H 00:00". You now have the
opportunity to set the current clock
time (for details on how to do this,
please refer to the "Clock time"
chapter).
After adjusting the setting, press the SRC
button ⑩. The device switches on. If you
would like to skip setting the time, press the
SRC button ⑩ straight away. The device
switches on without setting the time.
Switching on/off using the IR
remote control (only DAF RADIO
LUXURY)
Press and hold down button ⑮ (volume mute
button) on the IR remote control for longer
than 2 seconds. The radio switches on or off.
Note:
The device's IR receiver must be
switched on in order for you to be
able to use the IR remote control. For
further details on this, please read
the section entitled "Remote control
receiver" in the "IR remote control"
chapter.
