Handling and Operation

NOTICE
• Do not pour milk or other liquids into the water tank. Only ever use water!
Control Lamps
The device has two control lamps:
The operating lamp (15) lights up when the device is switched on.
The temperature lamp (2) lights up when the correct temperature is reached and the
brewing process can be started.
Selector Switch
When you switch on the device, always make sure that the selector switch is in the
position!
Hotplate
You can preheat your cups on the hotplate (16).
The hotplate is placed at the top in the recess which is provided for it. As soon as the device starts
heating the water in the water tank (3), the hotplate is automatically heated at the same time.
Inserting / Removing the Drip Tray
The device is supplied with a drip tray (8) because espresso / coffee may drip from the portafi lter
(10) after the cup has been removed.
1. Insert the drip tray into the bottom of the device. Insert it at a slight angle so that the drip tray
can lock in place. Make sure that it fi ts correctly in the device.
2. Place the storage plate (9) on the drip tray.
3. To remove the drip tray, tilt it forwards slightly and carefully pull it out of the device.
Filling the Water Tank
1. Open the water tank lid (1).
2. Take the water tank (3) off the device by pulling it upwards.

The selector switch (13) can be moved to three positions:
In this position the device is in stand-by mode.
In this position espresso / coffee is brewed.
In this position steam is emitted.
