HARDWARE INSTALLATION
Because there are large differences between PC's, we can give you only a general installation
guide for the EX-1189HMVS-2. Please refer your computer's reference manual whenever in doubt.
1. Connect the USB cable to the USB B-Connector of the Hub.
2. Connect the power supply to the DC Connector or to the terminal block of the Hub.
3. Now connect the other end from the USB cable (A-Plug) to the A-Connector at your PC.

DRIVER INSTALLATION

After the hardware installation, the operating system will recognize the device automatically and
install the drivers.
CHECK INSTALLED DRIVER:
Open the >Device manager<. Now you should see at „USB-Controller" the following new entry:

CLEANING

For cleaning please use only a dry fluff less cloth and remove the dirt with gently pressure. In
the area of the connectors please make sure that no fibres from the cloth remain in the connect-
ors. Attention! Never use a moist or wet cloth for cleaning!

Die EX-1189HMVS-2 ist ein USB 3.0/3.1(Gen1) HUB für bis zu 7 Endgeräte mit 15KV ESD
Überspannungs-Schutz. Der Hub ist mit sieben USB 3.0/3.1(Gen1) A-Buchsen für Endgeräte
und eine USB 3.0/3.1(Gen1) B-Buchse für den Anschluss an den PC ausgestattet. Die EX-
1189HMVS-2 unterstützt alle USB Anschlüsse von 2.0, 3.0 & 3.1. Über die externe Stromver-
sorgung per Netzteil können an jedem Port 1,5A zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Dies ermöglicht
Ihnen ein problemloses aufladen von iPhone, iPad, Smartphone und Tablet. Der serielle USB
3.0 Bus wird optimal durch die Leistung des schnellen Genesys Chipsatz unterstützt. Die EX-
1189HMVS-2 gewährleistet so eine sichere Datenübertragung und exzellente Performance von
bis zu 5Gbit/s! Er besitzt zusätzlich verschraubbare USB-Anschlüsse und unterstützt den self
powered und bus powered Modus. Es ist nicht möglich die I/O Adressen und Interrupts manuell
einzustellen, da die Einstellungen vom System (BIOS) und beim installieren des Betriebssys-
tems automatisch vorgenommen werden. Die EX-1189HMVS-2 ist zusätzlich mit einem USB
Power Überspannungsschutz ausgestattet.
