Adjusting the depth of cut
Quick adjustment using the graduation (fig. D)
• Loosen the plunge lock (18).
• Loosen the depth stop locking bolt (13).
• Lower the router carriage until the cutter is in
contact with the workpiece.
• Tighten the plunge lock (18).
• Adjust the depth of cut by moving the depth stop
adjuster (14) to zero on the graduation (15).
• Lift the depth stop (12) until the pointer (21) shows
the desired depth of cut on the graduation (17).
• Tighten the depth stop locking bolt (13).
• Loosen the plunge lock (18).
Multiple depth adjustment using the revolver
depth stop (fig. D)
The revolver depth stop (11) can be used in 5
different depths. This is particularly useful for deep
cuts, performed in steps.
• Place a depth template between the depth stop
(12) and the revolver depth stop (11) to adjust the
exact cutting depth.
• If required, use all five depths. For two positions,
a set screw is available.
Fine adjustment (fig. D)
When not using a depth template, or if the depth of
cut needs readjustment, it is recommended to use
the fine adjuster (19).
• Adjust the depth of cut using the fine adjuster
(19). One turn corresponds to approx. 1 mm.
Limiting the plunge stroke (fig. D)
For optimum convenience, the quick-release
adjustment nut (20) can be used to adapt the plunge
stroke to the adjusted depth of cut.
• Loosen the plunge lock (18).
• Lower the router carriage as required.
• Tighten the plunge lock (18).
• Adjust the nut as required.
Fitting the parallel fence (fig. E)
• Fit the guide rods (6) to the router base (7).
• Tighten the locking bolts on the router base.
• Slide the parallel fence (4) over the rods.
• Tighten the locking bolts (20) temporarily.
Adjusting the parallel fence (fig. F)
• Draw a cutting line on the material.
• Lower the router carriage until the cutter is in
contact with the workpiece.
• Lock the carriage in this position.
• Position the tool on the cutting line. The outer
cutting edge of the cutter must coincide with the
cutting line.
• Slide the parallel fence (4) against the workpiece
and tighten the locking bolts (20). For fine
adjustment, loosen the end lock (21), use the
adjuster (5) and tighten the end lock (21).
Fitting a guide bush (fig. G)
Together with a template, guide bushes play a
valuable part in cutting and shaping to a pattern.
• Fit the guide bush (22) to the router base (7)
using the screws (23) as shown.
Connecting a dust extractor (fig. H)
The dust extraction channel is equipped
with an integrated finger guard (24).
For optimum safety, always use the dust
extraction facility.
• When working without the parallel fence, connect
a dust extractor hose to the dust extraction
adaptor (8).
• When working with the parallel fence, connect a
dust extractor hose to the dust extraction
adaptor (25) under the parallel fence.
• Whenever possible, connect a dust extraction
device designed in accordance with the relevant
regulations regarding dust emission.
Instructions for use
• Always observe the safety instructions
and applicable regulations.
• Always move your router as indicated in
fig. J1 (outer edges/inner edges).
Prior to operation:
• Check that the cutter is correctly installed in the
collet.
• Set the cutting depth.
• Connect a dust extractor.
