Inspection after dropping
Thoroughly inspect the product and identify any
problems or damage to it. Any part that is damaged
should be properly repaired or replaced by an
authorised service centre.
Do not dispose of used battery packs in the household
refuse or by burning them. ECHO distributors offer to
retrieve old batteries to protect our environment.
Do not store the battery pack together with metal objects
(short circuit risk).
Use only ECBC-58VEU and ECBC-58VUK chargers for
charging the battery pack. Do not use battery pack from
other systems.
Compatible battery packs: ECBP-58V40 and ECBP-58V20
Battery acid may leak from damaged batteries under
extreme load or extreme temperatures. In case of contact
with battery acid, wash it off immediately with soap and
water. In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly for at least
10 minutes and immediately seek medical attention.

WARNING!
To reduce the risk of fi re, personal injury, and product
damage due to a short circuit, never immerse your
tool, battery pack or charger in fl uid or allow a fl uid
to fl ow inside them. Corrosive or conductive fl uids,
such as seawater, certain industrial chemicals, and
bleach or bleach-containing products, etc., can
cause a short circuit.

OVERLOAD, OVERHEAT, AND TILT
PROTECTION
The product has an overload protection device. When
overloading is detected, the product will automatically
switch off. If the overload protector is actuated, the on-off
button must be released. Press the on-off button to restart
the product.
The
temperatures will cause the battery to stop powering the
product. Feel the battery pack; if it is too warm, allow it to
cool down before resuming operation. If the product still
does not work, recharge the battery.
NOTE: The battery pack LED indicator will not work if the
battery protection feature has caused the battery pack to
stop powering the product. Release the on-off button or
remove the battery pack from the product and the battery
pack LED indicator will resume normal function.
The product also has a tilt protection function. If the product
is tilted beyond 55°, for about 7 seconds, the product will
stop. The product will not function if the tilt angle limit is

RESIDUAL RISKS

Even when the product is used as prescribed, it is still
impossible to completely eliminate certain residual risk
factors. The following hazards may arise in use and the
operator should pay special attention to avoid the following:

RISK REDUCTION
It has been reported that vibrations from handheld tools
may contribute to a condition called Raynaud's Syndrome.
Symptoms may include tingling, numbness, and blanching
of the fi ngers, usually apparent upon exposure to cold.
Hereditary factors, exposure to cold and dampness, diet,
smoking, and work practices are all thought to contribute to
the development of these symptoms. There are measures
that can be taken by the operator to possibly reduce the
effects of vibration:
