■ Turning the fixed stitch/name label function on and off
•
Carry out the following settings after the thread has been trimmed (or after the treadle has been depressed back-
ward for the B855E/BT), or immediately after the SET key has been pressed to accept a setting.
The condition changes as shown below each time the fixed stitch/name label key q is pressed.
•
Fixed stitch/name label sewing is carried out when the fixed stitch/name label indicator w is illuminated.
•
Zigzag width display, etc.

The sewing machine can be used to attach name labels.
• At the places marked with O, the sewing machine momentarily stops in the needle
• If automatic thread trimming has been set, the thread is trimmed at the sewing end.

(For -90 □ specifications, the presser foot rises at each corner.)

The number of stitches for fixed stitch/name label sew-
ing can be set without having to press the SET key.
•
Carry out the following settings after the thread has
been trimmed (or after the treadle has been depressed
backward for the B855E/BT), or immediately after the
SET key has been pressed to accept a setting.
1. Press the fixed stitch/name label key q.
The indicator w will illuminate, and E** will appear
on the LED display e as the current setting for the num-
ber of fixed stitch/name label stitches.
(For example, E20 represents 20 fixed stitches.)
2. Press the △ and ▽ selection keys r to change the
setting for the number of fixed stitch/name label
stitches to between 1 and 99.
3. Press the fixed stitch/name label key q once more.
The indicator w will remain illuminated, and F** will
appear on the LED display e as the current setting for
the second number of fixed stitch/name label stitches.
4. <If setting fixed stitches>
Press the △ and ▽ selection keys r to set to F+0.
<If setting name label stitches>
Press the △ and ▽ selection keys r to set the sec-
ond number of stitches to between 1 and 99.
* When F** appears in the LED display e, changing
it to F+0 will set fixed stitches, and changing it to a
number other than "0" will set name label stitches.
