Electrical installation

Electrical installation work must only be
performed by a qualified electrician. This work
must be carried out in accordance with the
regulations according to IEC 364-7-701-1984
(corresponding to VDE 0100 Part 701) as well as all
national and local regulations.
Installation
Refer to the dimensional drawing on fold-out page I.
Install sink mixer, see fold-out page II, Figs. [1] and [2].
Insert fitting into sink. This will require leading through the
hoses one at a time.
Install wall holder (A), see Fig. [3].
Insert filter head (B), see Fig. [4].
Locking handle (B1) must be in open position.
Vertical installation only with wall holder.
Set water hardness on bypass setting (C) to local conditions,
see table on fold-out page IV.
Note: The relevant water supplier can provide information on
the local water hardness.
Insert filter cartridge (D), see Fig. [5].
1. Remove protective cover (D1) and insert filter cartridge (D)
vertically in filter head (B).
Note: Filter cartridge (D) can be swivelled forwards
through 90° in wall holder (A) for easier installation.
Observe the correct installation position!
2. Turn locking handle (B1) until filter cartridge (D) engages
audibly.
Install control unit (E), see Fig. [6].
Attach plug-in connector (F) of the fitting to plug-in
connector (E1) of control unit (E), see Fig. [7].
Flush pipes thoroughly before and after installation
(observe EN 806).
5
Connect fitting, see Figs. [2] and [8].
1. The cold water supply must be connected on the right and
A
the hot water supply on the left, see Fig. [8].
2
2. Connect the pressure hose marked red to the left service
2,500 V
valve (hot water).
100°C
3. Fit plug-in connector (G) to the right service valve (cold
water).
4. Connect the two short pressure hoses marked blue (arrows
point towards the fitting) to plug-in connector (G).
5. Connect the long pressure hose marked blue (arrow
pointing towards the filter) to filter head (B).
6. Connect the long pressure hose marked blue (arrow
pointing from the filter towards the fitting) to filter head (B).
Open hot and cold water supply and check that
connections are watertight.

Putting into service

Flush filter cartridge (D), see fold-out page II, Fig. [9].
Note: Collect water escaping from hose (B2) in a suitable
container (capacity at least 2 litres).
1. Open handle (H).
2. Press flush valve (I) on filter head (B) and flush filter system.
3. Continue flushing until the emerging water is clear and free
of bubbles (at least 2 litres).
Connect voltage supply, see fold-out page III, Fig. [10].
Set the flow rate (factory setting 4.5 l/min), see fold-out
page III, Fig. [10].
Note: Place a 1-litre measuring beaker under the spout.
1. Touch green indicator lamp (E2) and red indicator lamp (E3)
of control unit (E) simultaneously for 5 to 7 seconds
(indicator in handle flashes red).
2. Open handle (H) fully within 2 minutes and draw off
exactly 1.0 litre of filtered water.
3. Close handle (H).
4. Confirm by touching one of the two indicator lamps twice
(both indicator lamps flash 4x).
Start over if the indicator lamps do not flash. Possible causes:
- Time expired (2 minutes)
- Flow rate too low or too high (<1 l/min or > 6 l/min)
- Double-touch did not register
The fitting is now fully installed and ready for operation.
