4.2.2 Assembly of "DUPLEX" handle
1. Unscrew the central knob (Fig. 4.A),
remove the cap (Fig. 4.B) and the lower
support (Fig. 4.C), being careful not
to lose the spring in the support.
2. Place the handle in the lower support
and insert the support pin (Fig. 4.D)
in the handle slot (Fig. 4.E).
3. Hook the cap (Fig. 4.B) to the lower support
(Fig. 4.C) and place the entire block in
its housing on the transmission shaft.
4. Set the handle bar in the most
comfortable working position and
lock it using knob (Fig. 4.A).
NOTE Loosen the knob (Fig. 4.A) to rotate
the handle to reduce clearance for storage.
4.3 FITTING/REMOVING CUTTING
MEANS AND SPECIFIC GUARDS
Wear protective gloves.
IMPORTANT When the cutting means has to
be changed, remove the battery from its housing
and dismantle all the elements of the device.
4.3.1 Choosing cutting means
and specific guard
Every cutting means must
be fitted with a specific guard, as
indicated by the following directions
in the Technical Data table.
Choose the most suitable cutting means for the
job to be done, according to these general indi-
cations:
the cutting line head can eliminate tall
grass and non-woody vegetation near
fences, walls, foundations, pavements,
around trees, etc. or to completely clean
a particular area of the garden;
• the 4-point blade
tough grass over large surfaces.
4.3.2 Fitting the guard on the
cutting means
1. Place the guard (Fig. 5.A) at the angle
transmission holes (Fig. 5.B).
2. Secure the guard plate (Fig. 5.C) fully
tightening the screws (Fig. 5.D).

4.3.3 Fitting and removing cutting means
4.3.3.a
Fitting cutting line head
1. With the spacer (Fig. 6.A) correctly inserted
on the shaft, fit the inner ring-nut (Fig. 6.B)
and inner cup (Fig. 6.C) in the indicated
direction, making sure that the inner ring-
nut's grooves match perfectly with those
of the angle transmission (Fig. 6.D).
2. Insert the supplied wrench (Fig. 6.E) in
the specific angle transmission hole and
manually rotate the cutting line head (Fig.
6.F) pushing the wrench until it fits in the inner
ring-nut hole (Fig. 6.B), blocking rotation.
3. Fit the cutting line head (Fig. 6.F)
screwing it in counter-clockwise.
4. Remove the wrench (Fig. 6.E)
to restore rotation.
IMPORTANT When using the cutting
line head, the line cutting knife must
always be installed (Fig. 11.A).
4.3.3.b
Removing cutting line head
1. Insert the supplied wrench (Fig. 6.E) in the
specific angle transmission hole (Fig. 6.D)
and manually rotate the cutting line head
pushing the wrench until it fits in the inner
ring-nut hole (Fig. 6.B), blocking rotation.
2. Remove the cutting line head (Fig. 6.F)
unscrewing it clockwise, being careful not to
remove the spacer (Fig. 6.A) from the shaft.
4.3.3.c
Fitting 4-point blade
Apply the guard to the blade.
1. With the spacer (Fig. 7.A) correctly
inserted on the shaft, fit the inner ring-
nut (Fig. 7.B) and cup (Fig. 7.C) in the
indicated direction, making sure that
the grooves match perfectly with those
of the angle transmission (Fig. 7.D).
2. Mount the bar (Fig. 7.E) and outer ring-nut
(Fig. 7.F) with the flat part facing the blade.
