Installation

Attention! Dangerous electrical voltage.
Possible consequences: Death or severe injury.

Protective measures:

• Prior to reaching into the water, switch off the mains voltage to all units used in the water.
• Switch off the mains voltage prior to carrying out work on the unit.
Set-up the unit
A, B, C
The unit can be set up either submerged (H) or dry (I). The following applies to both installation scenarios: Only ope-
rate the unit with the shaft in the horizontal position. Never install the pump only suspended from the suction or pres-
sure socket. Ensure that the motor weight is additional supported in a suitable way.
How to proceed:
• Screw-tighten the four feet (8) of the unit using 4 screws (not part of our delivery) to a suitable ground.
• Screw-connect the DMX connection box (1) to the installation bracket at the electronic box (12). Use the pre-instal-
led screws.
Remove the filter basket (7) for dry installation (F). This is done by removing the screws (17).
Place the unit such that it is not exposed to direct sun radiation (max. 30° C with natural ventilation; max. 40° C with
additional ventilation).
Always place the unit below water level.
DMX cable connection
Note:
Always ensure that all seals are properly in place.
D, E
This is how to connect the unit to the DMX control unit (D):
• Remove the two screws (13) from the DMX connection box (DMX) and remove the cover cap (14).
• Insert the plug (16) of the DMX cable including the seal (15) of the DMX control unit in the socket for the DMX input
signal (DMX-IN). Secure with the two screws (13).
How to connect additional (max. 31) units to the DMX control unit (E):
• Remove the two screws and take off the cover cap.
• Insert the plug (16) of the DMX cable including the seal (15) in the socket of the already connected unit for the DMX
output signal (DMX-OUT). Secure with the two screws (13). Insert the other plug of this DMX cable including the
seal (15) in the socket for the DMX input signal (DMX-IN) of the next unit.
Start-up
NEVER allow the pump to run dry!
Possible consequences: The pump will be destroyed.
Protective measures:
• Ensure that the pump is always fully submerged in the water.
• Regularly check the water level.
• Start-up and operation are only possible with a DMX control unit.
• The DMX protocol is used for signal transmission and control.
• Please read the information about unit and show programming.
Switch on pump
• Move the unit to its immersion depth. The power plug must not become wet.
Switching on: Connect the power supply and send the DMX control signal.
Switching off: Send the DMX control signal and disconnect the power supply.
