Application
Can be used in conjunction with:
• Pressurised storage heaters
• Thermally controlled instantaneous heaters
• Hydraulically controlled instantaneous heaters
Operation with low-pressure displacement water heaters is not
possible.
Specifications
• Flow pressure
- min.
- recommended
• Operating pressure
• Test pressure
If static pressure is greater than 5 bar, fit pressure reducer.
Avoid major pressure differences between hot and cold water
supply.
• Flow rate at 3 bar flow pressure:
33 524
33 598
• Temperature
Hot water inlet
Recommended (energy saving)
• Water connection
Installation
Flush pipes thoroughly.
Connect unions as described in enclosed installation instructions
for Easy-fix unions (part no. 12 081).
Fit mixer up to wall.
Observing the dimensional drawings on fold-out page I.
Tighten set screw (A) on hot and cold-water supply
side using the 3mm socket spanner provided and insert
plug (B), see fold-out page II, Fig. [1].
The hot-water supply must be connected on the left and the cold-
water supply on the right.
Open hot and cold-water supply.
Check connections for leakage.
Check mixer operation
Pull lever
Press lever down
Turn lever right
Turn lever left
Operation of automatic diverter on mixer 33 524, see Fig. [2].
Pulling the lever will release water delivery.
Water will emerge from the bath spout first.
Press diverter button
Pull diverter button
Flow is diverted automatically from shower outlet to bath spout
when the mixer is turned off.
Temperature limiter
On delivery, the temperature limiter (fitted as standard) is
inoperative.

If limitation of the hot-water temperature is required to prevent
the risk of scalding, proceed as follows:
1. Lever out plug (G), see Fig. [3].
2. Remove set screw (F) with 3mm socket spanner.
3. Pull off lever (E).
4. Pull off (33 598) or unscrew (33 524) cap (D).
5. Remove temperature limiter (C) and, depending on the
maximum water temperature required, turn clockwise (to
increase temperature) or anticlockwise (to reduce temperature)
and refit, see Fig. [4].
Note:
A maximum temperature setting accurate to the degree is not
possible since differences in hot and cold-water flow temperatures,
pressure differences and installation conditions all affect the
temperature of mixed water delivered at the outlet.
Flow rate limiter
This mixer is fitted with a flow rate limiter, permitting an infinitely
variable reduction in the flow rate by up to 50%. The highest
possible flow rate is set by the factory before despatch.
The use of flow rate limiters in combination with
hydraulic instantaneous water heaters is not
recommended.
Please proceed as follows to limit flow:
1. Same procedure as for temperature limiter, steps 1 - 4.
2. Pull off temperature limiter (C), see Fig. [3].
3. Change flow rate by turning hexagon socket screw clockwise
with a 1.5mm socket spanner.
Turn clockwise (to reduce flow) or anticlockwise (to increase
flow), see Fig. [5].
Assemble in reverse order.
Maintenance
I. Cartridge, see Fig. [6].
1. Shut off the hot and cold water supply!
2. Lever out plug (G).
3. Remove set screw (F) with 3mm socket spanner
4. Pull off lever (E).
5. Pull off (33 598) or unscrew (33 524) cap (D).
6. Pull off temperature limiter (C).
7. Remove screws (H) and detach complete cartridge (J).
8. Change either the complete cartridge (J) or seals (J1).
Assemble in reverse order.
Make sure that the cartridge seals (J1) engage in the grooves on
the housing. Fit screws (H) and tighten evenly and alternately.
II. Diverter, see Fig. [7].
1. Lever off cap (K).
2. Unscrew nut (L).
3. Pull off diverter button (M).
4. Unscrew diverter (N).
Assemble in reverse order.
III.Remove non-return valve (45 481),
see fold-out page I.
Assemble in reverse order.
IV.Unscrew and clean flow straightener (13 907), see fold-out
page I.
Assemble in reverse order.
Inspect and clean all parts, replace as necessary and grease with
special grease (order no. 18 012).
Replacement parts, see fold-out page I ( * = special accessories).
