Controlling the Display from a
Computer
You can perform various adjustments and settings of
the Display on a computer's display. Four control
windows are available; CONTROL, SCREEN,
CONFIG, and STATUS, each with distinct functions.
For details on the buttons, see the Operating Instructions of
the PFM-42B1.

Click the MORE... button in the FLAT DISPLAY
section (see page 22 (GB)).
The CONTROL window appears.

Click the function tab to select the window you
want.

1 CONTRAST +/– buttons
Adjust the picture contrast.
2 BRIGHTNESS +/– buttons
Adjust the picture brightness.
3 CHROMA +/– buttons
Adjust color intensity.
4 PHASE +/– buttons
Adjust color tones.
5 PICTURE AGC buttons
Select ON to automatically increase the brightness
when a low brightness signal is input.
6 COLOR TEMP buttons
Adjust the color temperature.
7 SHARPNESS buttons
Adjust the picture sharpness.
8 RESET button
Restores the factory settings in the picture control
menu items 1 to 7.
9 CLOSED CAPTION buttons
Display closed captions.
0 CLOCK MASTER buttons
Synchronize the time.
FLAT DISPLAY: synchronizes the time with the
PFM-42B1.
NETWORK BOARD: synchronizes the time with the
network adaptor.
qa UPDATE button
Updates the latest information.
SCREEN window
qs SHIFT (horizontal/vertical) buttons
Adjust the horizontal or vertical centering.
qd SIZE (horizontal/vertical) buttons
Adjust the horizontal or vertical picture size.
qf PIXEL ADJUST buttons
Adjust the dot phase and the total number of horizontal
pixels when you see noise on the edges of the
characters and the vertical lines.
