Please read these instructions before use. For the correct use of the
product please adhere to all the advice given. LOOK reserves the right
of changing product specifications without prior notification.
Warning: During installation of parts, acquire, read, and apply the assembly instructions.
Use of the product with loose, worn or damaged parts may increase the risk of injury.
Use only original LOOK spare parts.
CAUTION : During installation of the crankset, check that the pedal crank grooves mesh
with those of the pedal cup axle when fixing screws crank bolt and caps are removed.
After this verification, tighten the fixing screws. Tightening of the crank bolt without fixing
screws without verification of the above mentioned point, could cause pedal crank
groove damage.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
Sides' diameter for installation of chainwheels: 130 mm
Pedal crank lengths: 170 mm, 172.5 mm, 175 mm
Pedal thread: B.C. 9/16'' x 20 T.P.I. (British screw thread)
Recommended pedal cup: SHIMANO OCTALINK ® type : BB 7700 (Dura double series
Ace), BB 6500 (Ultégra double series) or BB 5500 (105 double series)
Length of recommended cup: 109.5 mm.
CAUTION: This crankset is intended for triple chainwheel adaptation even with an
adapting kit. Any technical modification of the product is forbidden and renders
the warrantee null and void. Use of a crankset which has been modified, or fitted
with un-recommended or non-compatible accessories, may increase the risk of
injury.

CHAINWHEELS
Usable chainwheels are those that are adaptable on a centre
distance of 130 mm. We would recommend the special ''LOOK''
chainwheel series manufactured by SPECIALITE TA Company.
During use, it is possible that the chain may come into contact
with the main chainwheel and make a noise when it is in the
position shown in the illustration. It is advised that the two smal-
lest cogs are not used when the chain is on the smallest chainw-
heel, and the two biggest cogs when the chain is on the main
chainwheel.

CRANKSET ASSEMBLY
1. Place the pedal crank
arm on the pedal cup axle
so that the grooves of the
pedal crank arm engage
with those of the axle.
2. Fit the washer and the
crank bolt fixing screw,
then tighten the crank bolt .
3. Tightening torque: 35 -
50 Nm
4. Then fasten the cap.
Tightening torque: 5 - 7
Nm.

ASSEMBLY AND DISASSEMBLY OF THE CRANKSET
Caution: before loosening ensure the cap is screwed tight.
When removing the pedal ccrank arm loosen the crank boltfixing screw by turning it anti-
counterclockwise whilst while leaving the cap attached. The screw comes up against the
cap which acts as pedal ccrank extractor.
To assemble the pedal crank arm, firstly remove the cap, then carry out the procedures
described in the ''crankset fitting'' section.

FITTING OF CHAINWHEELS
Gentle gear change problems will occur being impossible if the chainwheels are
not correctly installed, take care that the chainwheels are installed correctly in the
appropriate position.
Note that the LOOK CARBON POWER crankset is delivered with :
- 4 specialised screws and standard nuts for attaching the chainwheels.
- 1 specific screw for the 5° anchor point attachment of the chainwheels which is ''hid-
den'' behind the right pedal crank arm.
- 1 spacer, calibrated to respect the distance between the two chainwheels, is positioned
between the two chainwheels at the point of anchorage of the ''hidden screw'' behind the
right pedal crank.
- 2 pedal crank fixing screws on the cup with ''pedal crank extractor'' cap, and washers.
The LOOK CARBON POWER crankset is supplied with chainwheels, however a
other LOOK chainwheels are special range is available separately.
Prior to the assembly of the main chainwheels, tighten the chain support peg. Tightening
torque: 1 Nm
External side :
The marked surface of the main chainwheel must be facing
towards the outside. Place the main chainwheel so that the
peg, stopping the chain from falling, is aligned with the pedal
crank arm. Caution, only LOOK special series chainwheels
have this option. With the majority of standard chainwheels,
the peg is out of line with the pedal crank.
Internal side :
The marked surface to the smallest chainwheel must be
facing toward the outside. The chainwheels are atta-
ched to the pedal crank by 4 specialised screws + nuts.
Tightening torque: 10 - 12 Nm.
The fifth anchor point is to be found inside the right
pedal crank and the spacer must be positioned between
the two chainwheels. Use the special screw supplied to
fasten the chainwheel in this position.
Tightening torque: 10 Nm.
Should you have any doubt during installation or
adjustment of your LOOK crankset, please contact your
LOOK approved dealer.

GUARANTEE
WARNING: LOOK products are warranteed for a period for 2 years, given normal
use, as from the date of purchase. In the event that a product is covered by this
warrantee, LOOK can, as it chooses, either repair or replace this product.
This warrantee is only valid if the following conditions are satisfied:
1 – The user assumes all responsibility for normal wear and tear, deterioration, or brea-
kage of the product when the product is used for jumping, acrobatic, or other activities.
2 – The warrantee is not valid in the following cases: incorrect use, negligence, error, or
abusive use of the product.
3 – During return of the product under warrantee, the applicant must supply proof of pur-
chase along with written description of the damage.
4 – No other warrantee exists, either expressed or implicit.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, LOOK CYCLE INTERNATIONAL
SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. Some
Cap
states do not allow the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential
damages, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you.
