Functionbutton:Thiskeyopens theprogrammingmenu.Ifyouare alreadylocated in
a menu and then press the key, either menu-specific functions are shown, or you are
moved back one programming step.

Escape button:Pressingthe Escbutton duringprogrammingreturns the telephone to
its idle status.

3 softkeys
The functions of the softkeys are displayed in capital or small letters (depending on
your settings).

Display: The date and time appear on the top line of the display when you connect the
unittothepowersupplysystem(IP-S290plus),ortotheinternalISDNorUP0(CS290,
CS290-U) port of the PABX system. The date and time are imported automatically
from the pabx system.Thetext displayed for a function on line2isalways located abo-
ve the corresponding softkey. When you press the softkey, the next level is displayed.

OKbutton:Pressingthisbuttonstores asettinginthetelephone.Youthenheartheac-
knowledgement signal.

C key: Press this button to move back one menu step in the menu. If you are currently
in the input mode, this button can be used to delete individual characters.

Call-LED: Incoming calls are signaled by a rapidly flashing LED.
