TROUBLESHOOTING

If there are problems with operation, immediately turn off the machine and unplug it from the socket-outlet.
PROBLEM
Coffee comes out
from the edges of the
capsule holder.
The coffee is not
supplied or flows too
slowly.
The coffee is too
watery and cold.
The coffee maker does
not supply steam.

CAUSE
Some coffee residue is still
on the gasket up against the cap-
sule holder seat, keeping it from
closing completely.
Faulty capsule.

SOLUTIONS
Clean the gasket again with a sponge (Fig. 10).
Replace the capsule.
Clean with the help of a toothpick.
Turn on the machine without the capsule, making the
water run. If the water still does not come out evenly, carry
out the decalcification cleaning procedure using the Ariete
NOCAL product found at Ariete service centres, following
the instructions given in the paragraph "Decalcification".
Fit the tank securely by pushing it as far as it will go.
Check that the water level in the tank is correct. If neces-
sary, fill it with cool tap water.
Replace the capsule.
Open the capsule holder, clean the seat with a sponge,
and put a new capsule inside.
Clean with the help of a toothpick.
Wait for the temperature to be reached, indicated by the
lamp (Q) turning off.
Check that the water level in the tank is correct. If neces-
sary, fill it with cool tap water.
Unclog any deposits that may have formed in the hole of
the dispenser wand with a pin.
