OPERATION WITH INTERNAL POWER SUPPLY
DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION WITH BATTERY (OPTIONAL)
The rechargeable Lithium-ion battery you have purchased is partly charged. Therefore, before first use, you must fully
charge it, which takes about 2 hours. The autonomy acquired will allow you to carry out several aerosol treatments.
The lithium-ion battery has been developed on well-proven and reliable technology. This technology, applied in the medi-
cal field for aerosol therapy devices, offers the following advantages:
- high energy storage capacity in a light and compact design (about 45 minutes of autonomy)
- low self-discharge rate (after the battery is fully charged, your device will have power for about 20 minutes or 40% less
after 90 days of inactivity)
- high number of charge/discharge cycles
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS FOR USE WITH BATTERY
• Although the battery pack is equipped with a safety system, when you remove it from the device, take care to keep
it away from metal objects (e.g. a set of keys) that could cause short circuits. NEVER tamper with the battery pack
contacts using, for example, hairpins, scissors, or tweezers.
• To get the most out of your battery you should always use the device at temperatures anywhere between 10° C to 40°C.
• Recharge the unit only when the battery is DISCHARGED; this condition is shown when the green LED on the device turns
red. At this point SHUT OFF THE DEVICE and do NOT attempt to restart the device by pressing the power switch as this
could damage the battery. Then proceed to recharge the battery.
• To recharge, use only the equipped power supply adapter (B) or the cable with the cigarette lighter connection (C),
included with your Wi.Neb, connected to a 12 VDC receptacle of your vehicle or camper.
• When the battery is charging, the power supply unit and device may heat up without creating any problems.
• Do not recharge the battery outdoors because rain or water spray could damage the device as is not waterproof. Do
not immerse the battery in water or get it wet. If the battery does get wet, do not put it in the device and contact an
authorized service center or local dealer.
• If necessary, wipe off the battery case with a dry cloth.
• Do not recharge the battery with room temperatures that are less than 4°C or greater than 35°C.
• Do not place the device in areas where the temperature may exceed 35°C to prevent rapid deterioration of the battery.
• Do not expose battery to high temperatures e.g. near radiators, heaters, fireplaces, hobs, ovens, and microwave ovens,
etc. and do not dispose of battery in fire.
• Do not expose battery to direct sunlight and do not store it in automobiles especially in hot weather.
• If the battery is subjected to mechanical shocks, it can be hazardous; if this should happen, we recommend that you
take it to an authorized service center or to your local dealer to get it checked.
• The battery life at maximum efficiency is about 250 charge cycles, for an average life of 6 months, after which the
performance tends to gradually diminish and you should replace the battery. Based on the information above, we
recommend that you take full advantage of each battery charge to maximize the battery lifespan.
• If you do not plan to use your Wi.Neb for an extended period, fully charge the battery before storage, even with the
battery inserted. Remember to recharge the battery at least once after every 3 months of inactivity to prevent battery
damage.
• When not in use, always store your Wi.Neb in a cool and dry environment (not in the refrigerator) to prevent premature
aging of the battery.
• Allow the device to reach the operating temperature specified in the Technical Characteristics section at least 24 hours
before you decide to use it again or charge the batteries.
• The exhausted battery must be disposed of in specially labeled collection containers, or at any appropriate waste col-
lection center.
• Do not attempt to open the battery case for any reason.
