1.0 APPLICATIONS
1.1
PURPOSE: DBI/SALA Nano-Lok Edge SRLs with leading edge capability are designed for use in applications where
falls may occur, including falls over edges, such as roofi ng, leading edge construction, etc. SRLs are designed to be a
component in a personal fall arrest system (PFAS). SRLs may be used in many situations where a combination of worker
mobility and fall protection is required (i.e. inspection work, general construction, maintenance work, oil production,
confi ned space work, etc.). Twin Nano-Lok Edge models incorporate two SRL units that can be used for applications where
100% tie-off is required.
1.2
STANDARDS: Your Nano-Lok Edge SRL conforms to the CE standards identifi ed on the front cover of these instructions.
1.3
TRAINING: This equipment is intended to be used by persons trained in its correct application and use. It is the
responsibility of the user to assure they are familiar with these instructions and are trained in the correct care and use
of this equipment. Users must be aware of the operating characteristics, application limits, and the consequences of
improper use.

2.1
CAPACITY: The DBI/SALA Nano-Lok SRL with Leading Edge capability is designed for use by one person with a combined
weight (person, clothing, tools, etc.) of up to 141 kg for all applications including Leading Edge.
At no time shall more than one person connect to a single SRL for fall arrest applications.
2.2
ARREST FORCE: SRLs documented in this instruction meet the following Arrest Force values:
Average Arresting Force
Maximum Arresting Force
2.3
