Disinfection
(mod. JET+DISI, DUO+DISI)
If you wish to disinfect the plumbing circuit of the tub from
time to time (this is recommended on a monthly basis), we sug-
gest using the liquid disinfectant J-MX 07 available from Jacuzzi
Europe SpA which you can get from authorized service centres
or retailers (containers of 1/2 litre).
For sanitization, you can use the same water used for the hy-
dromassage (at the end of the cycle) provided no soaps, oils, or
cosmetic products have been used. Otherwise, use fresh water
after emptying the bath and filling it again. In both cases, the
water level, without anyone in the tub, must be at least 5-6
cm above the uppermost jets

If you have not already done so,

the display: the screen will light up, showing the system is s-
tanding by to receive commands
NOTE: if you do not touch any key for 2 minutes, the screen
will go off. Touch any key again to re-activate it. Keep in mind
that if two keys are accidentally touched at the same time, y-
ou will need to wait about 3 seconds before you will be able
to activate another command.

These models have no automatic system, but you can still disin-
fect the plumbing system manually as follows:
I Pour about 50 - 100 ml of J-MX 07 liquid into the tub and run
the hydromassage for at least 1 minute (refer to the appropriate
chapter). Let the disinfectant act for at least 15 minutes and
then drain the tub.

To guarantee maximum safety to the customer, the electronic cir-
cuit which manages the various functions prevents the activation
of the disinfection cycle when the hydromassage is operating and
vice versa.
I First of all, you must pour the J-MX 07 liquid into the appropri-
ate reservoir. The reservoir, with a capacity of over one litre, is
connected by a tube to the fill hole located under the headrest
and concealed by a cover,

( ) To start the disinfecting cycle, place your finger for

about 4 seconds on the key (F). The key will light up blue and the
disinfecting cycle will start.
NOTE: if you keep your finger on the key for a shorter period
of time, the pump will not start. This is to prevent the pump from
starting accidentally.
I The cycle is completely automatic and lasts about 10 minutes. It
cannot be interrupted unless the electrical power supply is cut off
by means of the main switch installed upstream from the tub.
I The cycle runs by going through a pre-established sequence of
steps:
- at start-up the pump comes on. After about thirty seconds, it
pumps about 50 ml of liquid disinfectant in the water circuit.
- the pump continues to run for a couple of minutes, so as to dis-
tribute the liquid thoroughly throughout the plumbing circuit. It then
shuts down and lets the liquid act.
- about a minute prior to the end of the cycle, the pump starts up
again to rinse out all the pipes. It then stops, and the cycle
comes to a halt.
I The disinfecting cycle cannot be activated (or is interrupted
while in progress) whenever:
- the water level in the tub is less than required;
- the J-MX 07 liquid reservoir is empty
- the level of water in the tub drops unexpectedly (drain open);
- the J-MX 07 liquid runs out during operation
If any of these situation occur, refer to the next chapter, "In case of
difficulty...".
Note for DUO+DISI models: after draining the water and be-
fore shutting off the main switch, wait for the blower pipes to be
drained, or activate it via the display. Refer to the chapter on
drainage of the blower circuit.
