Electric connections and safety

General warnings

The installer is responsible for choosing wires with characteri-
stics and nominal section that are suitable for the specific current
input of the hot tub (see pre-installation instructions).
The cable path, choice of materials and most suitable installation
solutions are left to the professional knowledge and experience of the
installer; it is his responsibility to guarantee and certify the installation.
Depending on the hot tub model proceed with the connec-
tion to the terminal block as indicated in the following diagrams
3, 3a)

IMPORTANT: for Countries where 220-240V voltage is
supplied by a two-phase system (L+L), the connection
has to be made on terminals L1 and N anyway.
NOTE: if the power supply has two phases + neutral (380-415 V
2N~) remove the indicated jumper located near the power supply
terminal board before making the connection.
To ensure the degree of protection against water as required
by standards, a cable clamp has been installed to make connec-
tion the electrical system easier.
When installation is complete, the cable clamp and the cover
of the box must be hermetically closed.
Models equipped with a filtering group (spa-pak) "PERFOR-
MANCE": the power cable must be connected to the appropriate
junction box (provided); the spa-pak pump, the hot tub pump, and
the hot tub junction box are connected to this junction box.
NOTE: with this type of connection, the spa-pak pump works in con-
junction with the low-speed hot tub pump; however, when the hot
tub pump operates in high-speed mode (hydromassage), the spa-pak
pump is disabled, significantly reducing the water supply to the sand
filter. If the hot tub is to be used frequently, it is advisable to install a
separate electrical supply system for the spa-pak, so that it is possi-
ble to activate the external filtration even when the hydromassage is
active. In any case, please consult the respective installation manual.

If installation is carried out by personnel unqualified and/or unau-
thorised to certify the work carried out.
If current norms and legal provisions regarding the electric systems
of buildings in the country in which installation is carried out are
not complied with.
If the instructions for installation and maintenance contained in
this manual are not followed.
If unsuitable and/or uncertified materials are used for installation.
If the spas are not installed in compliance with the above provi-
sions.
If incorrect operations are performed that reduce the level of protec-
tion of the electrical equipment against water jets, modify the protec-
tion against electrocution due to direct or indirect contact, or produce
abnormal conditions of insulation, current leakage or overheating.
If any components or parts of the appliance are altered in relation
to the original state when supplied, releasing the Manufacturer
from any liability.
If the appliance is repaired by unauthorised personnel or if spare parts
are used other than the original ones supplied by Jacuzzi Europe S.p.A.

Limitation of electricity consumption

If there is not enough electrical energy and you decide to activate
the consumption limiter, the system software must be configured
via the control panel (
NOTE Up/Down key: if the display is equipped with a single "up/
down" key, the displayed value will increase upon holding down this
key; once the key is released, the scrolling direction will reverse (subse-
quently, upon holding down the key, the display value will decrease).
Press and hold the key "Light"
you see the message "cFn" (if necessary use the key "Up/Down"
to scroll the menu until you come to "cFn").
Press the key "Light"
Now insert the password 123 as follows:
- use the key "Up/Down"
NOTE: hold the key down until you reach the desired value. If the
display is equipped with two separate keys, press the key "Up" to
increase the value or the key "Down" to decrease it.
- confirm the selection by pressing the key "Light"
Perform the same steps to insert the other two numbers.
Once you have inserted the password, the display will show
the message I1x (parameter for temperature unit of measure.
Press the "Light" key again to go to parameter I2x
("x" may vary within the range of 10 to 32 amps at 2 amp intervals;
the 0 value does not include the power absorption regulated by the
energy limiter; the stored factory setting is 32).
Use the key "Up/Down"

Press the key "Light"

The display will go off for a second and then it will come back on.
- If no key is pressed for 20 seconds, you will exit the procedure and
any changes made will not be saved.
NOTES
- When I2 is 16, electrical consumption of the hot tub is limited to
16A. Under this condition you can simultaneously turn on a hydro-
massage pump at low speed and the heater. When you turn on the
pump at high speed, the heater is turned off.
- When I2 is 32, maximum electrical consumption is selected.
