10. COOKING
•
Cooking with live lights, the flame must not exceed the maximum diameter of the bottom
•
When the valve starts to emit steam, lower the heat source to the minimum. (For optimal use it is
advisable to move the pot on the smaller heat source of the hob by lowering it the power to a minimum)
•
A weak and continuous steam vent from the operating valve indicates that cooking proceeds correctly.
Intermittent steam discharge does not affect cooking and does not indicate malfunction
•
During cooking, check that the valve vents regularly. If there is not enough steam it is possible to slightly
increase the intensity of the heat source
Steam Cooking
Thanks to the use of the steamer basket Barazzoni it is possible to carry out steam cooking.

Open the basket and place it on the bottom of the pressure cooker,

Fill the pressure cooker with water without exceeding the lower basket level

Place the food on the basket making sure it does do not touch the lid of the pressure cooker
Cooking with water

Never fill the pressure cooker beyond the MAX mark (water + food)
-
For some foods that expand when cooking (rice, legumes or fruit jams) do not exceed half
the pressure cooker (water + food)
Brown
-
It is possible to brown directly into the cooker, taking care to have a minimum amount of
liquid that reaches the first level mark.
NEVER USE THE PRESSURE COOKER FOR FRYING
11. END OF COOKING
•
After cooking, switch off the flame, remove the pressure cooker from the heat source
•
We recommend to placing the pressure cooker under tap water in order to reduce the pressure quickly
•
Place the selector of the exercise valve on the VENT EXHAUST position
•
If abnormal projections occur at the time of escape of steam, return the selector to the operating position
and wait a few minutes, then return the selector switch back to the steam exhaust position checking that
there are no other projections

Check that the lever block is lowered
•
Finally, open the pressure cooker by turning the selector knob to the OPEN
position, paying attention to the escape of steam residue
