Commissioning and function
• Remove all packing material and
ensure that the product, connecting
cables and hoses are not damaged
and in perfect condition.
Otherwise, contact your dealer or
customer service.
• When switching on the appliance for
the first time, check that a clear blue
flame is produced, that the igniter
is working correctly, that the flame
generator and burner are correctly
positioned.
• If you notice a smell of gas, immedi-
ately turn off the gas tap, open the
windows and contact the customer
service.
Do not use the appliance any further!
• If the ignition was triggered with gas
flow but is not ignited, wait until the
gas is drawn away from the hob
(min. 1 minute!).
Use
• If you use the hob for a longer period
of time, open windows and doors to
ensure good air circulation.
• Only light the cooking zone if a pot
is standing on it - do not light it if
nothing has been placed on it.
• When the appliance is in use,
it becomes hot. Make sure that you
do not touch the hob parts, burner,
pan holder and the hob surface,
as well as cooking objects placed
on them, without protection.
Keep children and pets away.
• Do not use unstable cooking utensils
and ensure that the handles do not
protrude near an open flame or over
the edge of the worktop.
• Heat fat as slowly as possible.
Do not fill frying containers with
more than one third of oil, do not
move them and never leave them
unattended.
Food to be fried should be as dry as
possible. Frost on fresh food could
cause the hot fat to form bubbles
and overflow. Fire hazard!
• You should not heat airtight contai-
ners, such as for ready tinned dishes,
on the hotplate. This could cause an
explosion.
• Never use aluminium foil or plastic
containers on the appliance.
Do not place plastic household ob-
jects (spoons, bowls, etc.) on the hot
hob, as they could melt.
• Do not cover the hob and do not
place flammable materials on or
near the surface, even if the hob is
not in use.
• If you are using other electrical appli-
ances near the hob, make sure that
the cables do not come into contact
with the gas zones.
• Never leave the stove switched on
when cooking is not in progress.
Turn off all controls and allow to cool.
