• Do not allow individuals (including children) to
use the appliance whose physical, sensorial or
mental abilities or lack of experience and know-
ledge hinder their safe usage of it if they have
not previously been supervised or instructed in its
correct usage.
• Tell children about the appliance and its potenti-
al dangers so that they do not play with it.

Starting Up the Device

• Before starting up the device, make certain that...
– the device, plug and power cable are in good
working order and...
– all packaging materials have been removed
from the device.
• Fill the device with water up to the MAX mark
and let it come to a full boil once as described in
the next section. Pour out this water.

Boiling Water

Danger! Never place the electrical base
near water – life-threatening danger!
Warning: For safety reasons, the lid
should not be opened while the water is
boiling or is very hot. Otherwise there is a
risk of injury.
•You should only heat as much water as you need
directly. That helps you save electricity, water and
time:
• Lift away the kettle
• Open the lid

then will the level indicator
correctly indicate the water volume.
Fill the kettle
– at least to the MIN mark so that the device does
not overheat,
– no higher than the MAX mark so that no boiling
water spills out.
• First close the lid
• then place the kettle
straight on the base
• Set the temperature controller
position. To bring the water to a boil, you need
to place the temperature controller

• Now insert the power plug into the power
socket and press the ON/OFF switch
until it snaps in.
• The operating light
