be saved and it affects all tests on this scale. On
subsequent tests the amount of correction will be
displayed with the letter C and small digits on the
left hand side of the moisture reading, (c+0,2%)
reminding you of the existing correction.
C. Removing the adjustment value
You can remove the correction and return the
meter to factory settings by switching the meter on
and choosing ADJUSTMENT with the MENU
button and ERASE.
D. Results higher/lower than the scale
If the result is higher than the scale of the meter
the display will show >70% thus meaning that the
result is higher than 70%. If the result is lower than
the lowest value in the scale the display will show
<10% meaning that the result is lower than 10%.
3. CALCULATING BALE DENSITIES
3.1. Rectangular bales
Measure the length, width and height of the bale in
meters. Multiply these figures, the result will be the
volume of the bale in cubic meters. Next find the
weight of the bale. Then divide the weight by the
volume calculated earlier, and you will have the
bale density in kg/m3.
3.2. Large round bales
Measure the diameter and width of the bale in
meters. Square the diameter and divide by 1,273.
Multiply the product of the above by the width. The
result will give you the volume of the bale in cubic
meters. Next take weight of the bale and divide it
by the volume calculated above. The result will
give you the bale density in kg/m3.

4.1 General
The achieved accuracy of moisture testing on the
field is subject to several matters: difficulty to
obtain representative samples of forage, the
maturity stage, the phase of ensiling process,
temperature, the compaction of the sample and
hence the contact to the probe can vary on each
test, also the difference of the material under test
compared to the material used test compared to
