► In the "Flour", "Water", "Oil" and "Milk" modes,

you can also choose the unit "CUP".
1) Press the TARE/ZERO/
switches itself on. The unit system last used
(g or lb:oz) appears on the display 4.
2) To switch between the metric and Anglo-Ameri-
can systems, press the UNIT button 8 until the
measurement unit details change. The currently
selected measurement system is shown on the
display 4.
3) If you want to select between the various
available modes, press the MODE button 7
repeatedly until the arrow on the display 4
indicates the desired mode.
NOTE
► Once you have set the mode, you can still
use the UNIT button 8 to switch between the
various units of measurement. The measuring
unit CUP can only be used if you have set
one of the modes. To do this, press the UNIT
button 8 until CUP appears on the display 4.
You can now start weighing.

Weighing

Once you have set the units of measurement and
the desired mode as described in the chapter
"Setting the units of measurement":
Place the food to be weighed in the bowl 1.

The weight will be shown in the unit of measure-
ment you selected previously.

Adding & weighing (tare function)
You can set the scale back to "0" as often as
required in order to weigh additional quantities.
NOTE
► Before you press the TARE/ZERO/
button, always wait until the scales have
ascertained the weight and the value shown
on the display 4 remains constant.
1) Now press the TARE/ZERO/
"T" appears on the the left of the display 4.
The scales now indicate a weight of "0".
2) Add the additional food you wish to weigh to
the bowl 1. The weight of the added food
now appears on the display 4.
3) Now press the TARE/ZERO/
again. The display will now show the total
weight of the food in the bowl 1. The "T" in
the display 4 disappears.
4) Now press the TARE/ZERO/
again. The scales now indicate a weight of "0".
"T" appears on the the left of the display 4.
NOTE
► You can repeat this procedure several times.
However, never place more than 5 kg on the
scale.
When you take the total amount of food from the
scales and press the TARE/ZERO/
the "T" on the display 4 will disappear and "0"
will be shown.

Removing weighed items

1) Press the TARE/ZERO/
"T" appears on the the left of the display 4.
The scales indicate a weight of "0" again.
2) Remove the desired amount of item.
The weight value of the removed item appears in
the display 4 as a negative value.
