4. Usage.

4.1 Abrasive loading and unloading.

Switch off the machine before loading abrasive. Open the door of the cyclone separator and
pour in the required amount of abrasive by feeding it onto the screen. Close the door of the
cyclone separator.
Minimum quantity of abrasive to be filled into the system: 20 kg.
The following types of abrasive are recommended:
• aluminium oxide, max. 0.5 mm for BRS-3, max. 1.0 mm for BRS-5.
• steel grit, 0.4–0.7 mm, only for BRS-5.

4.2 Setup.

1. Connect the compressed-air hose to the pneumatic unit and secure the connection with a
clamp. Switch on the compressed-air supply to the pneumatic unit and ensure there are no
leaks.
2. Remove the machine's back panel. Ensure all hoses are securely connected. Using the
manometer and pressure regulator mounted upstream of the pressure vessel, set the
pressure of the pressure vessel to 4.5 bar. On the timer of the solenoid pulse valve, set
the response time to 2 minutes and the opening interval to 100 ms. These values can be
adjusted during operation (section 5.3). Mount the machine's back panel back in place.
3. Using the manometer and pressure regulator, set the cleaning pressure to 5 bar on the
electric box panel.
4. Power on the machine by turning the knife switch and pressing the green on-switch button.
The vacuum pump turns on.
