Note: To avoid damage to the LEDs under lest, the black lest probe must
be connected to the cathode terminal of the LED string lights to be
tested, and the red lest probe must be connected to the anode terminal
of the LED string lights.

This method can also be used to lest LED backlight of LCD monitor.
Before test, remove the power cable plug ( or power cable connector ) of
the LED backlight to be tested from its socket ( or mating connector ).
Then connect the black lest probe to the cathode of the LED backlight to
be tested and the red lest probe to the anode
of this LED backlight. lf
this LED backlight is good, it will light up gradually and the tester display
will show the present operating voltage of this LED backlight. lf this LED
backlight does not light, it is damaged.
