DECK ADJUSTMENTS
10.0 CUTTING HEIGHT
1. The height of cut can be adjusted from 1.0 to 5-1/2
in., (25 to 140 mm) in increments of 1/2 in. (13 mm).
Do not remove the mowers from the tractor to change
cutting height. Always adjust both sides of the
mowers to the same height. Level front mower
before setting cutting height. See Section 10.1
2. Raise the front mower completely off the ground to
remove the caster from the caster arm. Place
supports under the mower to prevent accidental
lowering of the mower during assembly.
3. Refer to the decal on the mower Figure 10A. Actual
cutting height may vary from the height given in the
chart. Adjust the mower to your specific turf condi-
tions.
4. The following example is used to set the cutting
height at 4.0 in. (100 mm).
Place one 1/2 in. (13 mm), spacer (X) over the pivot
shaft and slide the shaft through the arm. Place the
remaining 1/2 in. (13 mm) spacers and spring washer
"X"

(Q) on top of the arm. There should always be one
thin spacer (P) on the top.
Secure the assembly with a snap lock pin (O).
Remove the hardware securing caster arms (M) to
the mower and move the arm from hole "A" to "B".
Reassemble and tighten the hardware.
Remove snap ring (T) and pin (U) from its present
position and insert the pin and snap ring into the hole
corresponding to 4.0 in., (100 mm).
5. Raise the wing mowers and lock into transport posi-
tion. Use step 4 for the three swivel casters on both
mowers. To change the fixed caster on the wing
mowers, refer to the column labeled "Wing Deck Lift
Arm Adjusting Bracket".
a. Remove the bottom height adjust pin (W). Pin (Z)
remains in the slot at all times.
b. Slide the caster assembly up or down to the
desired hole.

Reassemble pin (W) and the ring locking pin (Y).
