2. Hoist tractor so all four tires are off ground and
place jack stands under frame to prevent accidental
lowering of tractor during adjustment.
a. Disengage brake and place 4WD/2WD switch in
2WD position.
b. Start engine and set throttle to full speed.
c.
Check rotation of drive tires and then adjust
hydro return control (H) with engine running.
3. To find the neutral point of the hydro, loosen nut (J)
and adjust rod (K) by turning nut (L) inwards to
9.10 TRACTION PEDAL STOP
Move the traction pedal to its maximum forward position.
Adjust stop bolt (R) until bolt head touches the traction
pedal. Turn bolt one revolution counterclockwise (out
against pedal) and tighten nut (S).
9.11 STEERING "TOE IN"
"Toe in" should be adjusted from X + 1/16 in. (1.5 mm).
1. Turn wheels to straight ahead position.
2. Loosen two tie rod jam nuts (W).
3. Adjust tie rod and retighten jam nuts.
After adjusting "Toe in", it may be necessary to readjust
steering stop bolts. See Section 9.13.
9.12 TURNING RADIUS
1. Adjust steering cylinder (T) for equal angle steering
in both directions. Check that ball joints are threaded
equally into cylinder ends.
2. Loosen screw and nut (U) on locking clamp; turn
cylinder rod to obtain desired length and then
retighten clamp hardware.
3. After
adjusting steering cylinder,
completely in both directions and then readjust
steering stop bolts (V). See Section 9.13.

adjust for forward creep or outwards to adjust for
backward creep.
4. When drive tires stop turning, the hydro is in neutral.
Hold nut (L) in place while tightening nut (J) against
yoke and shut the engine off.
If tractor continues to creep, check position of hydro
return control (H).
a. The control must be parallel with arm (M).
b. Adjust bracket (N), loosen bolts (P) until return
control (H) is parallel with arm (M).
