Problem
No power when
plugged in
No sound.
CD PLAYER does not

Troubleshooting

Possible Cause
No power plug connection at the
AC outlet.
The AC outlet may not have power.
AC plug is not secure on the back
of the unit.
Volume control on TV set is set to
minimum.
TV set power is OFF.
AUX OUT jacks not connected
Disc is inserted upside down
Disc is dirty.
Disc is scratched or warped.
A nonstandard disc is inserted.
Lens is dirty.
Moisture has formed inside the
CD deck.
Source Selection on your TV, VCR
or Home theater is not set properly.

Mic volume control is set to minimum Adjust mic volume to max, and then re-adjust

Solution
Insert the power plug into the AC outlet.
Check the outlet with a working lamp or other
electrical appliance.
Turn up the volume.
Turn on the power at TV.
Follow directions on the ‚Audio Connection'
section.
Insert disc correctly.
Wipe clean with soft cloth.
Use a new disc.
Only use discs bearing standard logo.
Use a CD lens cleaner.
Wait about 20 to 30 minutes to let it dry out.
Select AUX IN as the source for yourTV, VCR or
Home theater.
Follow direction on ‚Au dio Connection' page
for connecting to a home stereo system.
