Examining the Programme
The programming mode must be switched off either manually with
button PROGR. ON/OFF or automatically (eg. 20 seconds atter the
last activation or if the unit has played a programme up to its end
arid is in standby mode again).
In this case, the ITRACKI sign will not flash.
On the nunnerical display you can see which tracks you have
stored into the memory.
If you actuate a TRACK button, the numerical display will also
show which Indexes you have programmed inside a track.
When indexes are stored, the tracks will be indicated as num-
bers.
Note : When ternninating examination of the programme, this will
be played from the point reached if you press the START/REPLAY
button within 20 seconds.
Playing the Programme
To play a programme, press button START/REPLAY. Play starts
with the first stored track or index of the programme. According to
the selected display mode, the display will show the relative play-
ing time or the number of the track/index being played. The num-
ber of the track/index being played is flashing.
When all programmed tracks/indexes are played, the unit is auto-
matically switched to standby. The programme remains stored
and the programmed tracks/indexes as well as the total playing
time can be seen in the numerical display.
You can start play with any desired track or index:
-
First select the desired starting track or index with buttons
TRACK or INDEX (the respective number will flash in the
ITRACKI or I INDEX] indication).

Press button START/REPLAY within 20 seconds.
According to the track/index sequence being stored, it is pos-
sible to skip from one programme passage to the beginning of
any other by operating the TRACK/INDEX buttons.
When playing stored programmes, the SEARCH function is
restricted to the actually played track or index.
When selecting the replay function with button START/RE-
PLAY, the actually played track or index will be replayed.
If you want to repeat your programme, select the REPEAT func-
tion with button REPEAT. The stored programme will be repeat-
ed until you cancel the repeat function by pressing the REPEAT
button again.
When pressing button STOP or OPEN/CLOSE, the whole pro-
gramme will be erased.
Programming during Play
Switch on the programming mode with button PROGR. ON/OFF
(the I TRACKI sign will flash for max. 20 seconds). Select the de-
sired tracks or indexes as usual with buttons TRACK or INDEX and
store them with button STORE.
When programming the first track, play will be stopped and started
again with the stark track of the new programme. You can now con-
tinue with programming further tracks or indexes without inter-
rupting play.
Scan Mode
If you wish to familiarize yourself with the contents of the disc, you
can play each track or index (with index-encoded discs) for about
10 seconds.

Insert a disc and close the disc tray with button OPEN/CLOSE.
The display will show the total playing time or the number of
tracks, according to the selected display mode.

For starting the SCAN mode press button SCAN. The SCAN
sign will appear in the display.
lt is possible to stop the scan function on each trackor index by
pressing the CANCEL button and to skip to scanning of the
next track or index.
lt you wish to completely hear a track or index being actually
scanned, simply press button START/REPLAY. The SCAN sign
remains visible in the display.
When the track or index is completely played, the unit automa-
tically switches back to SCAN mode.
The search, track/index skip, replay and repeat functions are
not possible during the scan mode.
At the end of the disc the scan mode is automatically switched
oft.
lt is possible to leave the scan mode at any tinne. To do this, sim-
ply press button SCAN again. The SCAN sign will disappear
from the display.
lt is also possible, to programme during the SCAN mode :

Press button STORE when the track or Index is played. The
track/index will be stored and the next track or index will imme-
diately be played in the scan mode.

In the same way, it is possible to cancel the played track/index
out of the programme by pressing the CANCEL button.
- To play a programme being selected in this way, press button
START/REPLAY. From this point on, all informations given in
the section entitled "Playing the Programme" are valid.
Disc Maintenance
Although the music tracks on the disc are covered with a protec-
tive layer, it is still advisable to treat the disc carefully. As long as
you always pick up discs by the edge and put them back into their
container immediately atter use, cleaning will not normally be
necessary.
However, should fingerprints, dust or dirt be visible an the disc,
you can wipe them off with a soft, lint-free cloth. Wipe oft the disc
in straight direction fronn the centre to the edge.
If required, you can also breathe on the disc before wiping lt oft.
Under no circumstances, however, detergent or abrasive cleaning
agents must be used. (Same precautions as for conventional
discs).
Care of the Unit
Only a soft cloth which picks up dust should be used to clean the
cabinet of the player. Aggressive polishing or cleaning material
may damage the surface. The disc tray should always be kept free
fronn dust.
