Track/Index Programming
On certain compact discs it is also possible, to store parts of tracks, provided these parts are assigned to indexes (See leaflet
supplied with the compact disc).
lt you enter the Indexes of a track in random sequence, they will automatically be sorted in numeric sequence when storing thern into the
memory.
If you want to enter all indexes of a track into the programme, it suffices to store the track, as this contains all indexes. In this case, selec-
tion and storing of the individual indexes is not required.
Example:
Out of a index-coded compact disc with 5 tracks you wish to subsequently hear the following Indexes and tracks : 2.03, 5.02,
5.05 and 3 (all indexes).

For this, the programming mode must be activated : The I TRACK1
sign is flashing.
Use buttons TRACK to select the track containing the index to
be corrected (the respective number is flashing).
Now select the faulty index with button INDEX on thel INDEXIin-
dication and cancel it with the CANCEL button. Select the cor-
rect index or a further index and store each Index with
button STORE.
Error lndication in the Display
If you should apply inadmissible key sequences when operating
or programming your CD player, "Err" will briefly appear in the dis-
play. lt the error concerns the disc (eg.: inserted upside down),
"dISC" will be displayed.
Note : If you select a non-exfsting index, "Err" will appear in the dis-
play during play. The track concerned then will be played in its en-
tirety. If you enter a non-existing index with the STORE button, the
next programmed track/index will later be played at this place
when the "Err" indication has disappeared.

Negative Programming
If you start storing the programme with button STORE as already
described, storing will be effected positively, i.e. you increase the
contents of the storage by subsequently entering the tracks or in-
dexes you want to hear. In this case, the sequence of the tracks
can be changed. This storing mode can be seen on the nurnerical
display as all nunnbers which are not yet selected are not illuminat-
ed.
If you wish to hear a large number of tracks or indexes out of a lot of
tracks or indexes, it is recommended to apply negative storing, i.e.
to delete the tracks or indexes you do not want to hear. To do this,
proceed as follows:
Switch on the programming mode. Select the first track er index to
be deleted as usual, then press button CANCEL. Only the number
of the selected title will go out, all other numbers remaining illumi-
nated. In doing so, you have erased the selected track or Index
and started the negative programming mode. Each track/index
which you wish to remain in the programme now can be acknowl-
edged by advancing the number indication with the STORE but-
ton. Each track or index which you do not like can be erased with
the CANCEL button after being selected or activated.
In the negative programming mode, the sequence of the tracks
cannot be changed.
