6. When rolling up the hair, make sure
that the tips do not get kinked. Protrud-
ing hair tips can be drawn in using a
tail comb by using the tail to follow the
loop of the hair from the outside to the
inside.
7. Secure the coiled hair with the clip 7/8.
8. Pull out the mains plug 5 when you
have finished coiling up your hair.
9. Allow the curlers 6/9 to cool in your
hair. This will take approx. 5 -
10 minutes.
NOTE: you will achieve better hold for your
curls if you then leave the hair to cool on the
curlers 6/9.
10. Remove the clips 7/8 and carefully un-
wrap the curlers 6/9.
11. Clean the clips 7/8 and curlers 6/9,
place them back into the base sta-
tion 2, and replace the lid 1.
12. Depending on the desired look, finish
the hairstyle (see "Styling tips" on
page 24).

7. Styling tips

General tips

• Amongst other things, the result de-
pends on
- the length of the hair,
- the haircut (e.g. layered or equally
long),
- the hair structure (e.g. stronger or
thinner hair),
- the diameter of the curlers 6/9,
- the thickness of the strands,

- the heat and application time of the
curlers.
Therefore: if you are not immediately sat-
isfied with the result, vary e.g. the thick-
ness of the strands, the application time,
or the size of the curlers 6/9.
• A natural appearance can be achieved
by using both sizes of curler 6/9.
• A staggered arrangement of the curl-
ers 6/9 will prevent the hair from fall-
ing apart in a parting.
• The angle of the strands relative to the
head also affects the results. If you want
the hair to be flatter against the head
near the roots, select a shallower angle
to the head. For greater volume, wind
the strands as perpendicular to the head
as possible.
Finishing the hairstyle
• For longer-lasting curls, allow the hair to
cool completely before you remove the
curlers 6/9 and continue styling the
hair.
• In order to emphasise the waves, shake
your head upside down and style the
hair with your fingers.
• You can highlight individual strands us-
ing hair wax.
• If you particularly want more volume,
brush the hair well.
• To make the finished hairstyle last
longer, you can use e.g. hairspray.
