The XKM 2000 DA kit contains the
communication module, a shaft to fit the
module into and connection cables with
connectors for linking the
communication module to the cooker
hood control unit.
The kit is fitted to the cooker hood in the
area near the motor and is connected
to the cooker hood controls.
The communication module may
only be connected by a qualified
and competent person in strict
accordance with current local and
national safety regulations.

^ Disconnect the cooker hood from the
mains electricity supply before fitting
the communication module.
^ Cover the hob to prevent it being
damaged by anything falling on it
from above.
^ The fitting steps for various types of
cooker hood are described on the
following pages.
After fitting the XKM 2000 DA
module, replace all parts of the
cooker hood in the reverse order.
^ When arranging the electrical cables
make sure that they cannot get
squashed or kinked.
A safety test must be carried out in
accordance with local and national
safety regulations (e.g. VDE 0701-1
in Germany) after all the
components have been fitted.
^ Once fitted, the XKM 2000 DA
module must be signed on for
communication to take place (see
"Establishing communication").
