2) Each time the button RANGE is
pressed, the next higher meas-
uring range is selected. Thus, the
resolution of the measured value
is reduced, however, with a meas-
ured value fluctuating between
two ranges, a constant automatic
switching will be prevented. If the
highest possible measuring range
is reached, the smallest range will
be selected upon the next actua-
tion of a button. If a range se-
lected is too small, "OL" (over-
load) will be displayed.
3) To return to automatic range se-
lection, keep the button RANGE
pressed until the symbol
pears or select another meas-
uring function.
5.6 Holding a measured value
It is possible to hold ("freeze") the
measured value which is displayed
digitally, e. g. to improve the read-
ability of the value after the meter
has been separated from the test
object. For this purpose, press the
button HOLD (2). The symbols
and will appear on the top right of

the display.
To switch off this function, press
the button HOLD once again or se-
lect another measuring function. The
symbols and will disappear.
