Observe all applicable installation regulations, general guidelines and
hygiene requirements, and technical specifications.
The place of installation must be protected against dirt. It must also be
frost resisting and dry (see Technical specifications for details on tem-
perature). There should be no adjacent heat sources, e.g. radiant heat-
ers.
Observe the conditions stipulated by DIN 1988 part 8 on installation and
operation.

Protect the dosing pump from unauthorized use.
There must be a guaranteed mains voltage of 230V/50Hz.
The unit should be located near a mains socket (within 1.2m).

for metering.
Mixing of different active substance types is not permitted and could
cause the unit to malfunction.
Metered additives may not be transferred.
Damaged additive containers may not be used.
The contents of opened additive containers should be used within
6 months (DIN 19635).
Observe the use by date on additive containers.
To ensure trouble-free metering, only use chemical solutions with a
water-like viscosity (1.002mPas).
Hydrochloric acid forms acid steam ager. Concentrations should there-
fore be kept as low as possible (approx. 1/3 hydrochloric acid to 2/3
water).

Vapors emitted by the metered substance form a gaseous buffer that
can interfere with the operation of the pump at lower stroke volumes.
Position the pump lower than the inlet container.
If you are using solid – i.e. powdery or granular – crystalline substances,
first pour the solvent (if at all possible softened water, cooled conden-
sate, permeate or deionate) into the additive container. Then, while turn-
ing the hand mixer or operating the stirring machine, slowly add the
active substance. If a liquefier is fitted, add the active substance along
with the solvent to be used.
If bleaching lye is the metered active-substance, the suction valve,
head valve, suction lance, and injection point should be cleaned with
warm water every 4 weeks.

Warning: If phosphate is the metered active-substance, water used for
filling swimming pools must be diverted upstream of the phosphate
injection point.
To guarantee protection of the water supply, ensure that the unit is
continually supplied with active substance in compliance with the water
analysis.
Check the consumption of metered-substance, being sure to refill the
unit by the time the empty signal (9 9 9 9 9 ) illuminates at the very latest.

If you need to turn the metering head 90° (only if you want to attach the
pump to the wall at a 90° angle; the metering head must always be
vertical), you must tighten the screws evenly and crosswise with 2.5
Nm of torque. Alterations can only be made before the machine is

base of the pump (3 3 3 3 3 )). The suction valve and head valve must always be
