6.3. Checking and cleaning the impeller

CAUTION: Before starting any
kind of work on the pump,
always disconnect the electric
cable from the power supply
to avoid inadvertent enabling
of the pump.
For troubleshooting purposes you must remove the 3 countersunk screws of
the suction strainer on the bottom side of the pump. After removing the
suction strainer base, there is a danger of touching rotating parts; you must
thus disconnect the power plug on the submersible pump from the power
supply beforehand.
CAUTION: Operation without a suction strainer is not permitted!
Remove any visible soiling using a screwdriver or jet of water and use a screw-
driver to check that the impeller is moving freely. If the impeller is moving
freely, replace the suction strainer base and test run the pump. If the impeller
fails to turn, please contact the Rosenbauer customer service.
6.4. Retiring criteria
In case of a defective power cable, mechanical shaft seal, or other electrical
or mechanical defects, retire the pump immediately, or have it repaired by an
authorized repair shop.
6.5. Repairs
All repairs must be performed by the manufacturing works, or an authorized
and qualified service center. Original parts by the manufacturer must be used
in all cases.

modifications or repairs, or the use of non-original manufacturer parts!
