 Work particularly carefully when the saw is
switched on.
 Do not tilt or twist the saw blade.
 Guards on the saw must not be removed.
 After switching off, the saw blade is brought
to a standstill within 3 seconds by the run-
down brake. Only then may the handles be
released.
 Never work with a defective run-down brake.
 For safe operation (guidance), the breaking
saw should be suspended from a spring bal-
ancer.

4 Assembly

Disconnect the saw from the
mains power supply before all
assembly work.

4.1 Changing the saw blade

Use only original EFA saw
blades!
 Insert the retention pin supplied into the saw
blade bore (A) as a twist lock and turn the
saw blade until the retention pin contacts the
safety hood (see Fig. 3 Loosening the saw
blade)
 Remove the hex. nut using the single-head
wrench supplied - turn in anti-clockwise di-
rection (arrow B). (see fig. 3)

 To provide anti-twist protection, insert the
locking pin into the saw blade borehole and
the borehole underneath (A) (see fig. 5).
 Tighten the hexagon nut – turn it clockwise
(arrow B) and tension it with approx. 50 Nm
(see fig. 5).
