Installation

Prerequisites for installation

You have read the chapter „Safety" and un-
derstood all the safety instructions.

Removing protective film

WARNING
Risk of injury!
Improper handling of the appliance
may result in injury.
Please watch out for parts with sharp
edges when installing the appliance.
Risk of injury! Wear protective gloves.
The painted surfaces of your new exhaust
hood are covered with protective film to pre-
vent scratching during transport. Do not re-
move the protective film until shortly before
final attachment of the exhaust hood.

Only for exhaust air operation

NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to property damage.
For exhaust air operation, a wall or
ceiling break of at least 15.5 cm in di-
ameter is required.
We recommend having a specialist
(electrician) carry out this break (core
drilling).
If the exhaust air hose passes
through an exterior wall, the air out-
let on the outside must have a cover
with self-opening slits (not included
in the package contents). Hire a spe-
cialist to carry out the wall break.
Installation
Before installing the exhaust hood, the wall
break (core drilling) must be completed by a
specialist company.
Please consider the length of the exhaust air
hose when planning the wall break. The ex-
haust air hose must reach the outer edge of
the wall without being bent.

Assembling the exhaust hood

WARNING
Risk of injury!
Improper installation of the appliance
can lead to injury.
Before drilling the holes, ensure that
no wires or cables (power, gas, water
etc.) will be damaged (check with a
line locator).
Only use mounting materials that are
suitable for the characteristics of your
ceiling and walls. If you are not sure
of your selection, ask a professional
for guidance.
Use a stable stepladder for installa-
tion and always have a second per-
son assist you.
CAUTION
Fire hazard!
The distance between the cooking
surfaces and the lower edge of the
Exhaust hood must be at least 65 cm
for gas cookers.
For gas stovetops, you must read the
user manual for the stovetop! If the
manual stipulates a larger distance,
this must be observed.
