Leak Test
• Perform the leak test each time the gas cylinder is connected or reconnected.
• Never use an open flame to check for gas leakage.
• Do not smoke while performing the leak test.
• Always perform the leak test outside in a well-ventilated area and at a safe
distance from ignition sources such as gasoline, naked flames, sparks, or electrical
appliances.
• The unit must be checked regularly for gas leaks. If a gas odor is noticeable, the
leak test must be performed immediately.
Performing the Leak Test
• Make a soap solution of soap and water in a ratio of 1:3. The soap solution can
be applied to the areas to be tested with a bottle, brush, dishwasher bottle or cloth:
Gas cylinder valve, gas regulator, all gas connections, hose connections and along
the entire length of the connecting hose.
• The gas valve should be in the „OFF" position when the soap solution is applied.
Once the soap solution has been applied everywhere, the gas valve must be turned
to the „ON" position.
• If there is a leak at any point, soap bubbles will appear at that point.
• If there is a leak, close the gas valve immediately. Tighten the leaking fittings, open
the gas valve and check all points again.
• If the leak cannot be closed even after several attempts, contact your local gas
dealer or similarly qualified personnel. Do not use the grill as long as there is a
leak!
