Automatic reset during programme change: For safety reasons - if the user is
changing the programme during a running therapy programme, the intensity
will fall to zero and the stimulation is stopped. A user can individually cope with
different types of intensity. This automatic reset is done to avoid any discomfort
for the user.

Reset of all editable programmes: Hold the [ • ] key for three seconds to set back
all editable programmes to the parameter settings from the status before the
first editing. The confirmation of this setting will be audible via a long signal tone.
The therapy time of all programmes returns to 30 minutes, and the parameters
frequency and pulse width are set back to standard values.

Switch OFF and ON the Signal Transducer: Simultaneously pushing of the [ E
] key and the right [▼] key. After three seconds the actual status of the signal
transducer "BEEP ON" or "BEEP OFF" is shown. The [ E ] key switches the transducer
ON or OFF. By pressing the [ • ] key the new setting is stored. The device switches
back to Ready mode.

Care and Maintenance

No special detergents or cleansers are necessary for the PierenPlus basic. Device
and cables are easily cleaned.
After use, the electrodes are put back onto the carrier foil. Best storing can be
achieved by putting the electrodes into the re-closable plastic package. The
electrodes can be used many times. To enlarge their life span, wash them with
warm water and air-dry them.
Never clean the electrodes with a cloth or a brush etc. Only clean them with a little
amount of water and soft finger touch. No cleansers are necessary. Do not soak the
electrodes in water or other liquids. Do not knead or wring them. After cleansing
shake the water off and let dry the electrodes by air. Never dry the adherend with
a towel or a paper towel.
