Aligning the racing shell (figures C and D)
1. Set the seat incline by selecting the front holes
(c, d, e (flexible adapter only)).
2. Fix the racing shell (1) at the front to the
adapters (4) or (7) with the washer (6) or (9) and
the M8x20 screw (5) or (8).
Final installation
„ Tighten all 4 mounting screws (5) or (8) with a
tightening torque of 22 Nm +2/–3 Nm.
DANgER
Risk of serious injury if the racing shell be-
comes detached from its anchoring!
„ Use only the supplied micro­encapsulated
screws when installing the racing shell.
„ Use the supplied micro­encapsulated screws
only once.
„ Tighten all screws with the specified torque.
3.4. Fitting the protector on the HANS system
(Figure F)
NOtICE
the racing shell cover can be damaged by the
HANS system without a protector!
„ No warranty claims will be possible without the
HANS protector fitted.
„ Fit the factory­supplied protector (10) onto the
HANS system (11) using the self­adhesive
Velcro fasteners (12).
To do this, guide the restraining straps of the
HANS system through the openings provided for
that purpose on the supplied protector.
3.5. Replacing/cleaning seat cushions
(Figure E)
Refer to Page 3 for the associated draw-
ings.
Both the seat and rest cushions (2, 3) can be re­
moved for cleaning or reupholstering.
„ Pull the cushions firmly off the Velcro fastener.
The cushions can now be easily cleaned or re­
placed. See Page 14 for cleaning instructions.

Safety instructions before you start driving
DANgER
there is a danger to life if a damaged racing
shell is used when the car is driven!
„ Carefully inspect the racing shell and the
adapter for damage such as cracks, bumps,
dents or similar defects before every use.
„ If you find any damage, consult a specialist
motor sport workshop.
„ If there is damage that can affect safety, re­
place the racing shell immediately and make
sure that the damaged racing shell will not be
put back into a vehicle.
DANgER
Danger to life if a racing shell is used that is
no longer approved!
„ Use the racing shells for no longer than is
stated on the homologation sticker
(Not valid after: xxxx).
„ After this date the racing shells may never
again be used in a vehicle.

has been involved in an accident is used!
„ Racing shells that have been subjected to the
stresses of an accident (racing accident or col­
lision) must no longer be used.
„ Make sure that the damaged racing shell will
not be put back into a vehicle.
