1. Scope of delivery

HDR with integrated mounting foot, these
mounting and operating instructions.

2. Specialist installer qualification

Mounting may only be carried out by spe-
cialists who have the necessary knowledge
and experience in ventilation engineering.
Only a trained electrician is permitted to
work on the electrics. You are deemed a
trained electrician if you are familiar with the
relevant standards and guidelines, can
competently and safely connect units to an
electrical power supply in line with the wiring
diagram and are able to recognise and avoid
risks and dangers associated with electricity
on the basis of your technical training and
experience.

3. Intended use

HDR diagonal fans serve, depending on their
installation position, to extract air from or
ventilate production sites, workplace areas,
storage rooms, labs, workshops, day rooms,
rooms without windows etc. The 3-stage HDR
diagonal fans can be operated with a mat-
ching 3-stage switch ( Maico accessories).
Operation is only permitted with:
● a fixed installation within buildings.
● surface-mounting on a wall, ceiling or
bracket with sufficient load-bearing capacity.
● an HDR diagonal fan installed directly
between the flexible ducts. Any installation
position can be selected. For example, folded
spiral-seam ducts of a nominal size appro-
priate to the unit are permitted for the duct.
● correct installation position with terminal
box facing upwards or sideways. The termi-
nal box may not face downwards.
● installation with protective grille with unco-
vered air inlet or outlet (protection against ac-
cidental contact according to EN ISO 13857).
