1 Security

1.1 Dangers of the Vacuum Cleaners and Water Aspirators

This columbus vacuum cleaner and water aspirator is manufactured to the state of the art
and to the recognised safety regulations. Nevertheless, with improper use, dangers to
persons, as well as damage to the device and other property could occur. When working with
the vacuum cleaner, be observant towards third persons, especially children.

1.2 Safety Designations in this Operating Manual

The safety instructions in this manual are designated as follows:

1.3 Safety Instructions for Mains Operated Devices

of doors is allowed only then if the device is protected against influences of weather
(particularly against rain). Any application beyond these uses is considered as being not in
accordance with regulations. The manufacturer will not be liable for any damage which
thereby results; the risk is borne solely by the user. The use according to regulations also
includes the compliance with the conditions of the manufacturer for operation, service, and
