Drive belt
If the snow discharge performance drops while operating the
snowthrower, or if it is often clogged with snow, the belt slippage can
be suspected. Perform the following inspections.
Turn the engine switch OFF and disconnect the spark plug cap before
inspection. Drain the fuel tank and turn the fuel valve to ''OFF''.
Inspection:
Check the auger clutch cable free play before checking the belt.
Refer to AUGER CLUTCH CABLE INSPECTION/ADJUSTMENT and
adjust the free play properly, if the free play is out of:
15 35 mm (0.6 1.4 in) − −
1. Remove the belt cover bolts and remove the belt cover.
