8.1 Window technology

fail-safe sensor
The outputs (OSSD) are only enabled in case of damping in the enable
zone. Outside this enable zone the outputs (OSSD) remain switched off.
The safe switching off distance is 30 mm.
In case of damping with a standard 45 x 45 x 1 mm target plate of FE360
(mild steel) for non flush installation to EN 60947-5-2 the enable zone
is ≤ 10 mm ... ≥ 15 mm over the whole temperature range.
Using other targets (material, shape) results in a different
enable zone.
Typically the following enable zone is achieved at an operating
temperature of 20°C for non flush installation of the fail-safe sensor
with a 45 x 45 x 1 target plate to EN 60947-5-2:
