2. Intended Use

This code lock is designed to secure doors against unauthorised entry (e.g. office). A maximum
of 99 users with different codes can be saved to the unit. It offers comfortable input via touch
screen and is suitable for connection to electric door openers which have an operating voltage
of 12 to 24 V AC/DC.
Additionally, this code lock has an alarm output (e.g. for connecting a visual signal light, con-
nection: "Al Out (-)) and an alarm input (e.g. for connecting a door magnet contact NC); con-
nection: "REED").
The power supply is at 12 ~ 24V AC/DC.
The code lock is manufactured to protection category IP65 and is therefore appropriate concea-
led installation in unprotected outdoor areas.
Any use other than the intended use described above is not permitted and may harm the pro-
duct and result in short circuits, fire, electric shocks etc. The entire product must not be modified
or converted. Always observe the safety instructions included in these operating instructions.
Please read the operating instructions carefully and keep them for later reference.

3. Signs and symbols

A lightning-bolt symbol in a triangle indicates a health hazard, e.g. danger of an
electric shock.
An exclamation mark in a triangle shows important notes in these operating
instructions that should be strictly observed.
The "hand" symbol informs you that there are special tips and hints concerning
the operation.
