4. Safety Instructions

The guarantee will be void if damage is incurred resulting from non-compli-
ance with these operating instructions! We assume no liability for any con-
sequential damage!
We do not assume any liability for personal injury or damage to property
caused by incorrect handling or non-observance of the safety instructions.
In such cases the warranty/guarantee is void.
• The code lock must not be modified or converted, as not only the CE approval
will become void but also the warranty.
• The code lock should not be exposed to extreme temperatures, intense vibrati-
on or heavy mechanical stress.
• Drops from a low height can lead to defects.
• If the code lock is used in connection with other devices e.g. a door opener or
alarm system, the operating instructions and safety instructions of the con-
nected devices must also be observed closely.
• After rapid changes in temperature, the code lock requires some time to stabi-
lise to adjust to the surrounding temperature before it can be used.
• Electronic devices are no toys and should be kept out of the reach of children!
• Please contact qualified personnel if you are unsure about the safety or the
correct use of the product.
• Never let the packaging material lie around unattended. Plastic foil / bags etc.
can become a dangerous toy for children; there is a risk of suffocation.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, discon-
nect the appliance immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
• It must be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, if:
- the device shows visible damage,
- the device no longer works and
- the product has been stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period
of time
or
- after it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employ-
er's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Mate-
rials are to be observed.
• The code lock is suitable for outdoor use (concealed installation) (IP66).
• Power supply is between 12-24V AC/DC.
