2.1. Preparation

Connect the IP camera to a 100 Mbit Ethernet
LAN

Power supply via Power over Ethernet (PoE)
(1.6 on page 26) or a suitable Behnke
power supply unit (12-15VDC) e.g. 20-9585.
Connection via Ethernet
The IP camera is set up as a DHCP client, i.e.
it obtains its IP address from a DHCP server.
Use Behnke IP video software to locate existing
cameras within your network. Where the camera
is directly connected to PORT2 on the SIP basic
electronics, the camera's IP address will also be
displayed in the door intercom's web frontend.
Where the camera is connected to a network, in
which no DHCP server is available, the camera
will automatically assign itself a free IP address
within the network 169.254.0.0/16. It is also
possible to have Behnke's IP video software
locate the camera, provided the computer oper-
ates within the same network segments.
