5.2 Installation of THOMAS vacuum socket
5.2.1 THOMAS plastic vacuum socket
5.2.1.1 Installation, mounting frame for plastic
vacuum socket
– We recommend the mounting frame for easy safe installation of
the vacuum socket.
– Fasten siphon bend in mounting frame
– Insert mounting frame with siphon bend in the suction tube and
fasten to the shell construction wall
– Seal the siphon bend with plaster plug
– Note: The mark (on the bend) stipulates the position of the
vacuum socket (bend mark = vacuum socket hinge side)

– Use the siphon bend as connection piece to install the vacuum
sockets and embed in the plaster.
– Always lay the siphon bend under the plaster (minimum wall
thickness, 11 cm) and flush with the wall surface (including
plaster and wall papering).
– Note:
The wall panelling must be flush with the siphon bend. No joints.
Middle of vacuum socket is not middle of bend.
5.2.2 Installation of THOMAS metal vacuum socket
– Note:
– fit a 90°C (incl. reducing piece) bent to take the
vacuum socket
– remove the plastering in the region of the vacuum socket
– metal vacuum sockets can be use for installation in wale and
floors
