8 Photo and Video Recordings

For photo and video recordings insert an SD / SDHC
memory card (up to 32 GB) into the slot (16). The
bevelled corner of the card must point downwards
and to the unit. On the top of the picture the symbol
SD (d) flashes: The card is read in. Then the flash-
ing stops.

To remove the card, slightly press it in so that it dis-
engages.

8.1 Adjustments for the recordings

1) Activate the main menu with the button MENU
(14). The submenu "Camera Setup" is selected.
Select the submenu "Recorder Setup" with the
button
(12) and activate it with the button
ENTER (11).
2) The first menu item "Motion detect" is selected.
The motion sensor can be activated separately
for each camera at this menu item. If a move-

c) To adjust the sensor sensitivity, press the but-
ton AV (8). An adjusting scale appears:

e) To exclude areas in the camera picture from
the motion detection, a mask can be applied.
For this purpose, press the button REC (13).

The camera picture appears with a grid of
30 × 40 fields which represent the individual
sensor fields.
f) On the top left a green frame with the size of
3 × 3 fields flashes. With this frame, fields can
be excluded from the motion detection. To
change the frame size to 1 field or 2 × 2 fields,
press the button AV (repeatedly).
g) Move the green frame with the buttons

ENTER. The fields are now marked red and
deactivated for the motion detection. To reacti-
vate the fields, press the button ENTER again.
h) Select further sensor fields and press the but-
ton ENTER to extend the deactivated area.
i) To memorize and exit the mask, press the
button REC. To confirm, the message "Updat-
ing motion detect mask area" is shown. Then
the menu item "Motion detect" reappears and
the adjustments can be repeated for the other
cameras.
3) From the menu item "Motion detect" go to the next
menu item "Record type" with the button
